Swivl’s Professional Development (PD) team delivers training and coaching which fosters a culture of self-reflection and collaboration with our customers, transforming instruction and facilitating a robust integration of Swivl into the customer’s ecosystem. The Team Lead, Professional Development manages the daily operations of Swivl’s PD team, including content creation and delivery. They will spearhead the transition of the team from implementation-focused training to full-cycle professional development.


Manage and grow the PD team:

  • Recruit, hire and onboard new PD Specialists
  • Grow a contractor base to support overflow content and delivery needs
  • Regularly observe specialist delivery and provide coaching and modeling to drive employee growth
  • Partner with the Team Lead of Customer Success on the creation and maintenance of Customer Journey Maps
  • Partner with Team Lead of Customer Success, Team Lead of Customer Support, and Product Managers to evaluate trends and inform product development roadmaps
  • Conduct regular 1-1s with all PD staff and support employee growth

Grow Professional Development:

  • Establish a scalable delivery model, allowing Swivl to provide best-in-class PD even at peak times
  • Regularly evaluate and pilot new delivery models
  • Use a data driven approach to evaluate and improve customer outcomes
  • Guide the content development process, ensuring courses reflect current best practices and educational research
  • Implement a sustainable training program for employees and contractors
  • Develop a template for and drive execution of PD implementation plans for partners
  • Directly support pre-sales efforts to define and grow PD

Deliver exceptional Professional Development:

  • Evaluate customer needs and build tailored training programs
  • Lead in-person and virtual training for new and existing customers.
  • Identify appropriate customer stakeholders to implement “train the trainer” models


  • Master’s Degree in Education, with a focus in Curriculum and Instruction preferred
  • Prior leadership experience preferred but not required
  • Experience building and leading professional development or PD content development and/or delivery
  • Experience as an effective classroom teacher
  • A vision and commitment to transforming teaching and learning through technology
  • Demonstrated understanding of the changing role of technology in the teaching and learning process
  • Ability to coordinate and manage geographically dispersed teams
  • Travel up to 20%
