Sales Rep - Higher Education (HE) - REMOTE, US

Salary Range: $65k - $75k

Over 75,000 schools use our award-winning tools and we are about to launch new product-category defining tools. We are a distributed team with offices in California and Kiev, Ukraine. This position can be remote, but must be within the US.

Together with the sales lead, the Sales Rep - HE, will develop proactive territory plans, utilizing analytics and regional trends to create target lists, and partnering with Sales Operations to build outbound campaigns. This person will be responsible for developing and closing new sales opportunities within the Eastern territory. This includes full sales life cycle development to existing customers and prospects. After an initial training and upskilling period, this role qualifies and develops both inbound and outbound sales activities and is responsible for penetrating and closing large educational institutions.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work within the College of Education field service and student teaching programs
  • Build and leverage deep, multi-level relationships with key decision-makers and influencers at universities and colleges such as deans, research teams and/or department heads.
  • Leverage established relationships to understand the customer’s goals and objectives and align Swivl’s offerings and value proposition to best meet those goals.
  • Learn to be an expert in Salesforce and other sales software tools.
  • Execute outbound sales initiatives for both existing (upsell) and dormant customers.
  • Hold virtual and face-to-face sales activities to achieve quarterly and annual objectives.
  • Travel at least 25% of the time or as necessary to develop consultative relationships with leadership.

What You’ll Need:

  • At least 3 years of prior HE sales experience.
  • Proficiency in selling educational and classroom products (hardware or software).
  • Confidence in communicating and collaborating with department chairs or deans.
  • Prior experience working with Colleges of Education is not required, but a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively convey insights and reports to management.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally and coordinate efforts with the sales and marketing team.
